Colorful. Expressive. Full of texture.

Each piece begins with a feeling, and that feeling inspires the palette. From there, I build up multiple layers of acrylic paint and glazes with palette knives to set up the base. More paint is then added intuitively to bring out the final image. It is a process that makes it impossible to predict or control how the final piece will look. Every painting has a life and story all its own.

There's no place like home.

My journey in becoming an artist was far from simple. Although I have always had a strong interest in art, I spent many years exploring other professional avenues, including a stint in law school. I eventually made the leap to a creative career, working as a freelance graphic designer for more than a decade. That experience greatly influences my current work in painting, most notably in how I approach color and composition.

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, but spent most of my adulthood living in California. While living there was wonderful and life changing, in all those years, no place ever felt like home the way KC did. In 2019, I finally moved back. Now I live here with my two wonderful daughters Grace and Lily, our dog Bear, and our cats Henry and Mal. I am so honored to share my art with you. Thank you for your interest!
